NICECNC Manual Timing Chain Tensioner – Developed for high-performance engines, this manual timing chain tensioner replaces the factory automatic or hydraulic tensioner and provides better control and more consistent timing chain tension.

Features:

• Eliminates Automatic Tensioner Issues – Conventional automatic tensioners may briefly give way during sudden deceleration from high RPMs, which can cause the timing to shift. In the worst case, this can result in bent valves or engine damage.
• Prevents Excessive Hydraulic Tension – Hydraulic tensioners can exert excessive pressure on the timing chain guide at high RPMs and high oil pressure, accelerating wear on the chain and guide rail.
• Consistent and Adjustable Chain Tension – Unlike automatic systems, the manual tensioner is not affected by engine speed or oil pressure; it ensures consistent chain tension—ideal for aggressive riding, racing, and high-performance applications.
• Integrated O-Ring – Ensures a reliable seal, prevents maintenance issues caused by oil leaks, and provides additional safety.

Installation instructions:

• Reuse the original brass washer (OEM).
• Place the brass washer on the new black insert.
• Insert the assembly into the engine, screw it in by hand until snug, then tighten the housing with a 17 mm wrench.
• Turn the stainless steel adjustment screw clockwise with a 6 mm Allen key until it touches the cam chain guide.
• From this point, turn the adjustment screw an additional half turn to achieve the correct chain tension.
• Install and tighten the 13 mm locknut.
• An integrated O-ring is included to ensure a reliable, oil-tight seal.

Adjustment & Maintenance (Important)

• The manual cam chain tensioner must be adjusted to the correct tension.
• Incorrect adjustment can cause severe engine damage.
• If you have no experience with engine maintenance, professional installation is strongly recommended.
• Check and correct the cam chain tension every 6–8 operating hours or at every regular service interval.
