Installation note:
Some Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Honda models come with a metal and plastic guide ring. You must remove the guide ring before installation.
KTM Big Bikes come with black plastic guide rings. Before installing the fork sock, you must remove the guide ring, otherwise the fork sock will tear due to friction if installed over the ring.
Maintenance:
It is recommended to remove the fork sock after each day of riding. Do not leave your fork sock on when washing the bike. Remove it and rinse it with a garden hose or wash it in the sink with warm soapy water. Spread out the fork sock and let it dry. Then reinstall it on your front fork. Remember not to leave it on while washing, as water and sand can get trapped, causing your front fork to leak.
