When unloaded, the BMW R 1300 GS sits quite steeply on its side stand, causing the motorcycle to lean significantly to the side. On soft or uneven ground, this can lead to the following problems:

Important notes
Due to the different model configurations and suspension settings for this motorcycle, BMW has used different specifications for the side and center stands.

In rare cases, the foot of the side stand enlarger may touch the center stand when it is folded up. To solve this problem, we include an adjustable 8 mm nylon screw for fine-tuning the clearance and preventing a collision.
