Question: What’s the difference between the LS D580 and the D581? I bought one of either and don’t know which one.  but I have truck coils but I’m putting them in a car with my 6.0 engine and I’m a little confused they looked the same.

Answer: D581 and D580 coils look similar, but the actual size is a little different. The D581 coil bracket can be used on most truck generators, and the D580 coil bracket is for some 97-up luxury LS1.
