Question: What is the difference between the LS D580 and the D581? I bought one of each and don’t know which one. I have truck coils but am installing them in a car with my 6.0 engine and am a bit confused; they looked the same.

Answer: D581 and D580 coils look similar, but the actual size is slightly different. The D581 coil bracket can be used for most truck generators, and the D580 coil bracket fits some luxury LS1 models from ’97 onward.
