As part of the cast swingarm design, the chain guide tabs are subjected to enormous stresses and impacts that act directly on the chain guide.
These impacts are even more pronounced when using a larger/stronger aftermarket chain guide with a larger overall surface area.
If the chain guide tabs are damaged, the swingarm must be replaced or repaired, which is costly.
