Installation Guide:
- Drain coolant and remove stock head.
- 2Adjust deck height as required using different base gaskets. Deck height is the distance from the top of the cylinder to the top outside edge of the piston at top dead center (TDC).
- Fit the new head O-ring on top of the cylinder, ensuring the locating dowel is correctly seated.
- Insert the supplied 23 x 2.5mm O-ring into the groove on top of the combustion chamber insert. Place the outer “cap” part of the head over the insert, taking care not to displace the O-ring. Finger-tighten the spark plug into the top of the insert. Hold the spark plug and lift the cylinder head as one unit onto the cylinder. Carefully position the cylinder head, ensuring the locating dowels are aligned and the O-ring remains in place.
- Tighten the nuts/bolts in a crisscross pattern to the torque specified in your service manual. Reinstall the cylinder head to chassis mounting bracket.
