Over time, the original side stand would wear out and the bushing would loosen, causing the KTM/Husqvarna to fall over even in light gusts of wind. Breaking off and welding the side stand can only provide a short-term fix. There is a better choice: to buy this item as a replacement, which is very easy to install immediately and requires no additional parts.
