The following two issues can be eliminated by installing a manual camshaft tensioner:
➊ Automatic adjusters can retract when the throttle is suddenly closed at high RPM. This causes the camshafts to go out of sync briefly, which can lead to bent valves and/or severe engine damage.
➋ Hydraulic tensioners tend to apply too much pressure on the chain guide at high RPM/high oil pressure, causing premature wear.
No matter what the engine does, the cam chain tension remains constant. A manual camshaft tensioner is a must for any type of performance riding.
These manual tensioner bodies are CNC-machined from billet aluminum to ensure a perfect fit with exact tolerances.
