Installation Instructions:

Tools and Accessories Required:

Tools: 5mm Allen key, 14mm open-end wrench, 9mm open-end wrench, 8mm socket wrench, Phillips screwdriver

Other items: Suitable fluid collection container, at least 250 ml of approved clutch fluid (check compatibility: some models use mineral oil, others DOT 4)

Preparation:

Fluid Selection:
Always use the recommended clutch fluid to prevent damage.

Positioning:
Ensure the motorcycle is upright or slightly inclined so that air can escape during bleeding.

Read Instructions:
Ensure you fully understand the procedure before starting.

Installation Steps:

Work Area:
Remove the necessary fairings to gain full access.
Determine the correct bolt length and set unused bolts aside.

Remove Existing Component:
Wrap a cloth around the old slave cylinder.
Loosen the banjo bolt to prevent fluid loss and use a collection container to avoid spills.
Remove the existing slave cylinder and store it well-wrapped to prevent leaks.

Prepare New Slave Cylinder:
Insert the 8mm steel ball into the piston with a little grease.
If applicable, keep the KTM seal for reuse.

Transfer Components:
Quickly transfer the banjo bolt and line from the old to the new cylinder to minimize bleeding time.
Use new copper washers to ensure a good seal when installing the bolt.

Install New Cylinder:
Ensure all seals and components are correctly installed.
Pay attention to the fluid level in the KTM master cylinder, as it has a smaller capacity.
On some models, the chain guard must be installed before connecting the hydraulic hose.

Bleeding the System:
Connect a hose to the slave cylinder bleed valve and place the other end in a fluid reservoir.
Pump the clutch lever about six times and hold it firm on the last pump.
Loosen and retighten the bleed valve while still holding the lever. Repeat this process until the clutch feels firm.

Final Check:

• Ensure the fluid level in the master cylinder is sufficient to prevent air from entering.
• Ensure all bolts and connections are securely tightened.
• You can optionally pre-fill the new slave cylinder with a syringe to shorten bleeding time.

Final Note:

• After filling, do not press the piston to avoid fluid splashes and potential injury.
