Installation instructions:
Step 1: First remove all trim panels under the steering wheel that could prevent the pedal bushings from being replaced, and also to create more room for your feet. Be careful not to damage any clips, and remove all screws/bolts/nuts securing the trim.
Step 2: If your vehicle has polystyrene foam knee impact absorbers, remove them, as this will make the pedals more visible. Now remove the clutch master cylinder and note the installation position of the electrical switches, as they will also be removed when the clutch master cylinder is removed.
Step 3: Before removing the clip from the pin end, make a note of the coupling on the center support spring and how it is attached, as it will probably come loose when the pedal is removed. Now use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the three locking clips on the left pedal. Then push the pins to the right so they come out. The upper pin holds the clutch pivot pin in place. Remove the pedal by sliding it away from this pin. Make sure you know exactly how all the pins and pedals are attached so they can be reinstalled correctly.
Step 4: After removing the pedal, remove the original worn bushing and install the new bushing. It is strongly recommended to lubricate the bushing with grease before installation.
Step 5: Once the bushings have been installed, reassemble the pedal assembly in the same way it was removed. After fully reassembling it, you can spray grease on all pivot points and moving parts. Then reinstall the pedal master cylinder (if installing a clutch pedal, make sure the clutch assist spring is properly connected) and check that all components are installed and lubricated correctly.
Step 6: After verifying that all components are working properly, do not forget to reinstall the electrical switch sensors for either the clutch pedal or the brake pedal, as they may need to be readjusted. Once you have verified that they are all properly adjusted, you can reinstall the panel. Then everything is complete.
