This nice part protects the connection between the exhaust and the cylinder, creating and reinforcing compact protection against impacts to the exhaust. Owners of KTM and Husqvarna whose exhaust flange has already broken know what that means: race-ending damage and frequent cylinder seizure. This cylinder protector helps prevent that. The surface is anodized and bright enough to decorate your bike. However, please note that the color of the protector may fade with prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
